Episode Synopsis
An audiogram is a graph of information of someone's hearing abilities. When you see the graph, on the y-axis (left-hand side), you'll see your hearing levels in decibels. On the x-axis (right side) you'll see the frequencies in hertz. When you get to a hearing aid dispensers office and take your hearing test you'll see a blue and red line. The red line represents your red line and the blue line represents your left ear. In terms of the hearing levels: 0-20 is considered normal hearing 20-40 you have a mild hearing loss 40-70 you have a moderate hearing loss 70-90 is severe hearing loss 90 and above is considered a profound hearing loss. Chis will also go over a sample of a few examples if hearing exams so you can get a better understanding.
