Susan Holt was sworn in as New Brunswick’s first woman premier. “Words will have consequences,” says Cecil Clarke, Cape Breton’s Regional Municipality, newly elected mayor. He vows to tackle racism and homophobia in the province. The Tšilhqot’in National government and Museum of Vancouver partner up to repatriate long-lost ancestral belongings. We’ll go green and talk about microforests planting in the centre of Montréal, and over to Ontario, where we hear about the Butterflyway Project… giving insects, butterflies and bees a helping hand. And also in Ontario, some 90 volunteers gather to save the Haliburton Gold Trout, one egg at a time. Thanks to all our journalists this week, Elizabeth Oakley, Jesse Wentzloff, Adam Inniss, Candice Vetter, Bill MacCuish and Johnny James. And to our National Editors, Conrad Fox and Victoria Fenner. Host and producer Boris Chassagne. Viewpoints are produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada and the Local journalism initiative.
