The Korean painter, designer and digital artist BO HYUN HYANG creates fantastic mandala installations by using paper cutting techniques. The results are beautiful large-scale works, also she often plays with additional lighting effects. When we visited she was preparing new works for an exhibition in the coastal city of Busan. As well she is part of the rebel culture collective URBANSTRIKERS and together with NICK Z.WOO they lead the Busan Division as their captains. Their local group consists of 24 creative minds at the moment, but it's growing. Part of their agenda is organizing events and projects to promote subculture and creativity around town. In an interview we talked with BO HYUN HYANG about her art, the concept behind it and the urban art scene in Busan.
