You can’t know Jesus for who he is until you know you for who you are. Who are you and I? According to the Bible, we’re sheep. Weak. Wandering. Helpless. “We all like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6). But once you realize you’re a sheep, you can see Jesus for who he really is: Our Good Shepherd! “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11). There is no more beautiful picture in the Bible than seeing Jesus as our Good Shepherd who lays down his life for us sheep. In life, you are always following someone. Follow Jesus!
