Episode Synopsis "Set a calendar reminder"
Should work the same for Windows or Mac. In Lotus Notes, I could set a reminder on my calendar without it appearing as if I was busy. I want a reminder that I have a report that needs to be signed and turned in. So I’m going to create a reminder in Outlook. Although Outlook doesn’t call this a “reminder” I can create the same thing with an appointment. In your Outlook calendar, click New Appointment. Type the Subject (and location if necessary). Set the start and end times for the same time. Set the Show As: to Free. Set the Reminder: time to 0 minutes. Save & Close your appointment. It will be added to your calendar, but not take up a time slot and will show as Free time for anyone looking to schedule a meeting with you.
