Hey U-nity,
Living From the Super-consciousness
“Listen”
On Saturday I met a man in a group setting where he came up to me and said, “Hi, my name is John.” As I was responding to say, “Hi, my name is Shawn.” Before I got my response out, he was already saying to the person sitting next to me, “Hi, my name is John.” On it went around the circle without him ever stopping to notice that he hadn’t listened to a single one of us tell him our names.
I have to wonder, do I do that? Do I just talk without waiting for the other person to share? I’m not the best at remembering names, but could it be because I don’t stay long enough in a very brief conversation to listen when I’m told?
How much do we miss out on in life because we didn’t stick around long enough to listen? How buried are we in our phones that we miss out on our beautiful surroundings?
How buried are we in our thoughts that we don’t hear the Voice of Spirit telling us how Good and beautiful we are?
Listen. Listen to the Voice of Spirit, the Voice of Love, The Voice of Peace and the Voice of Joy telling us the Truth about ourselves, the Truth about each other and the Truth about our Life. Listen so that we can have honest reactions to what is True.
Listen up, People. There’s wonderful things to hear.
Welcome to Spring Once More,
Rev. Shawn
