Listen "Anger Must Fall"

Episode Synopsis

I Samuel 17:28

I. Remind ourselves we aren’t perfect.

You, Lord, showed favor to your land;
You restored the fortunes of Jacob.
You forgave the iniquity of your people
And covered all their sins. [Selah.]
You set aside all your wrath
And turned from your fierce anger.
Restore us again, God our Savior,
and put away your displeasure toward us.
Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
Will you not revive us again,
that your people may rejoice in you?
Show us your unfailing love, Lord,
And grant us your salvation.
Psalm 85:1-7

II. Remind ourselves that God has made peace with us.

III. Believe God is our avenger.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Do not repay anyone evil for evil.
Romans 12:14,17

He will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.
Joel 2:25

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Romans 12:18

IV. We forgive.

Therefore, each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
Ephesians 4:25-26

V. Remind ourselves we are sons and daughters of God.
