In this podcast we uncover the magic of a woman who has succeeded in a mans world in the defence force.   You will get a slice of understanding about how the defence force was and how this incredible woman got through some challenging times pushed through and succeeded!!   Here are some details about Wendy Joined defence as an entry-level public servant technical officer in 1997 testing munitions, weapons, and ammunition. Then, I moved into the defence industry as a technical engineer working with and testing developmental munitions and prototype weapons. I tested munitions, weapons, and ammunition for 14.5 years. I moved to Canberra in 2012 to work as the deputy director of early test plans for army projects, bringing complex platforms into service, advising the projects on how to derisk their projects by planning targeted timely test and evaluation. I then moved into consulting with defence in numerous major defence capability projects, conducting four major defence trials as the trial manager, which entailed the planning, conduct, and reporting of the trials which were conducted in operationally realistic conditions. The trials were for three different armoured vehicles, which briefed the chief of army of the vehicles suitability to be introduced into service for the army. I gained engineering authority with Defence as an engineer certifying ammunition for introduction into service. Currently, I work for a multi national defence company as Australia's explosives safety lead, working with a team to introduce the manufacture of guided weapons in Australia.
