I was asked by Iranian friends inside Iran and across the diaspora to record a podcast in English with Persian subtitles. Instead, I chose to do this episode fully in Farsi, so that Iranians could clearly hear my position, my feelings about what is happening in Iran, and my views on the wider region. The app I use can translate from Persian to English, but not consistently, so parts of the subtitles may be missing or unclear. I’m genuinely sorry for that — correcting it fully would require significant extra work. This is a one-off, so that at least one podcast is directly accessible to my people in Iran.In this episode, I set out my position clearly: how I feel about Iran, about the region, and why I hold the views I do regarding Israel and its actions since 2014, including ongoing threats against Iran. I speak about unity among Iranians, our internal struggles, and the importance of change from within. I also reflect on Iran’s history, resilience under sanctions, and the strength, diversity, and tolerance of Iranian culture. I am incredibly proud of the people of Iran for standing firm in the face of overwhelming global military power. To English speakers — I’ll see you on the next episode. To my Iranians: enjoy.#Iran #Iranians #Farsi #Persian #MiddleEast #Israel #PoliticalPodcast #FreeSpeech #RegionalPolitics#VoicesFromTheRegion
