TW: talk of eating disorders. Even after recovery there may still be thoughts, habits and feelings engrained within our brain therefore do we really recover? Diet culture is so embedded within our day to day media consumption and even physical visual reminders such as in super markets that it is hard to ‘get over’. I discuss how to learn to co-exist with that voice in your head, accepting sometimes you need to be kind to yourself, how to celebrate the fact you look different to people online, food isn’t the enemy and how to treat yourself with empathy.
