Listen "Croatia’s Red Wine Grape “Plavac Mali”"
Episode Synopsis
Along Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, a thriving wine region produces spice toned offerings from native grape Plavac Mali. Situated on The Adriatic Sea across from Italy’s Abruzzo region, it is said that Croatian grapevines transported to Abruzzo evolved into Primitivo varietals. In time, those Primitivo vines migrated to Northern California which gave birth to the Zinfandel red wine grape. #wine #winepodcast #winelover #croatia #croatianwine #dalmatiancoast #plavacmali #adriaticwine #winehistory
