Every mountain climber’s worst fear is falling off a mountain. In July 2015, experienced climbers Jennifer Staufer and her climbing partner Adam Vonnahme set out to summit one of Colorado’s renowned and more difficult 14’ers, Crestone Peak. Shortly after reaching the summit, Adam watched in horror as Jennifer slipped on the frozen snow and slid down a deep gully to certain death.
