Today on the True Identity podcast, I have the privilege of interviewing one of the owners of Rehab United Physical Therapy, Bryan Hill. As a teenager, Bryan broke his leg playing soccer and soon discovered the world of Physical Therapy. He and his brother Sean, started a business together in their garage and now own seven physical therapy clinics across San Diego and one in Seattle.  Bryan shares about learning how to run a business without taking formal classes, but continuously learning by reading books, talking with people who have gone before him in the industry, taking risks and learning from failures.  He talks about leadership and the importance of vulnerability and we give a shout out to Brene Brown, who is an author we both really enjoy. She has written Dare to Lead, and Rising Strong. Bryan mentions two books he recommends for people interested in starting a business or leading a team  5 Dysfunctions of a Team E Myth Create space for self reflection Don't wear too many hats. Find what you are good at and delegate the rest Make a conscious descion to take a break. "I don't like the word burnout. People use it too much. They need to take responsibility for themselves." Read books and always be learning Be vulnerable with your team. Tell them what you are struggle with. Allow them to see you are human too. Create boundaries for your work life and personal life Put your phone down and be present with your family This interview has been split into two parts.
