Listen "Celebrating Black History Month with the Black Student Union"
Episode Synopsis
As this year's theme for Black History month is being 'Unapologetically Black', we sat down to discuss what that means for those who are celebrating their identity during this period. Deep diving into Black experiences and overall POC experiences at Western, we detail the importance of diversity and belonging at a predominantly white institution. Being one of the points of connection, Tekhia and Yonnie explain what the Black Student Union does and how its organization bridges its community together. Credits: The music you hear on the podcast was created by Austin Colwell from Harbor Day. Harbor Day is the audio journal of Austin Colwell. Creating bedroom pop influence by folk, ambient and r&b, his songs are crafted with care from start to finish.
