In these words, we are taught that staying true to our faith is hard, and will cause pain.  He wants us to bear his image, and in doing so, we can't live life on this earth as others do. We are to point others to Christ, and sometimes that is really hard, and others will be mad at us. This doesn't mean we are doing it wrong, but that it comes with the territory.
