Episode Synopsis

Send us a textThanks for joining us! Is there a phrase more frustrating than, "Because I told you so!"? You get to an age when that isn't an acceptable answer, don't you? We want reason. We want for things to make sense. In this section of scripture, we see that God chose us, not because of what we have done, but because he is our FATHER. His love for us will never change, and we know we are saved, connected with Christ and unified in Christ. Why? Because God said so! It is a comforting use of this phrase, seeing that the reasons don't need to be tangible, but faith in Christ shows us the blessings he has given us, the love he has for us, and the unchanging future we have as eternal children of God! God be with you today and always. If you're local, come on by! In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
