Listen "Advent 4 -- Christmas is About Peace -- Micah 5:2-5a -- December 19, 2021"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textThanks for listening today! Pastor Cherney talks about if and when it's okay to not be okay. The Israelites were not okay during Micah's time, but they THOUGHT they were, and that was dangerous! Their justice system was corrupt, and they looked endlessly for people who would tell them it was okay that they were doing things against God's command. Micah's message: Jesus came BECAUSE we aren't okay, he came to MAKE us okay. He can handle it! We look forward to many opportunities this Christmas season to worship with you! Join us Friday at 6pm for a service of lessons and carols (12/24/21)Saturday at 10:15am for a Christmas service (12/25/21)Sunday at 10:15 for our regular Sunday service (12/26/21)2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,    though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me    one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old,    from ancient times.”3 Therefore Israel will be abandoned    until the time when she who is in labor bears a son,and the rest of his brothers return    to join the Israelites.4 He will stand and shepherd his flock    in the strength of the Lord,    in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.And they will live securely, for then his greatness    will reach to the ends of the earth.5 And he will be our peace
