It is often hard for us to trust God in the silence. Days, weeks, and sometimes even years pass without a significant breakthrough. The prophet Daniel explains a prophecy that is going to unfold over 400 years of silence. Though the God of heaven is not speaking in this time, He is most certainly at work, preparing the world for the Uncut Stone who is about to make landfall and supplant the kingdoms of the earth. The language, the translation, the roads, the civic peace, the religious meeting places, and the hungry audience are all in place. The world is pregnant with anticipation, and it is now time for us to receive our king.
