You also have the power to name your desired outcome.  What we don't have control over are the brutal facts of our current reality. For example, here are a few facts: You live in a town of 450 The major employer in your community is moving out of town. The cost of living is 10% higher where you live that in other parts of the county. Those are facts. History is also a fact.
