Monotonous routines can lead us into a downward spiral without even realizing it. Our productivity, effectiveness, and happiness all hinge on our ability to disrupt monotony and find rhythms that enhance our lives and bring our best selves forward. Transformation Tip: Find a rhythm that enhances you, not a routine that stifles you.Sometimes the monotony of life and everyday routines can cause you to get stuck in a rut. The Covid-19 pandemic has escalated this for many people. Oftentimes, people are unaware that they are stuck in a routine pattern.A monotonous routine can lead to boredom, which leads to losing passion, which leads to frustration, which leads to apathy, which can lead to anger, and eventually result in destructive habits.If you always do the same old thing, all you’ll get is the same old thing.Tips to disrupting monotony:Break the cycle Self-awareness - notice your tendencies Add variety to your schedule (ex: a walk, a full hour for lunch, a nap, etc.) - find what works for you!Self-care is key Taking a day or even a week to unplug and rest can work wonders for you - mind, spirit, and body. It might not feel like an efficient use of time, but it is an effective use of time.Transformation application: Take a tip that you heard in this episode and do it for a week.
