Most Christians think that there is only one Biblical covenant that matters today-- the New Covenant. On the contrary, all of God's covenants are still in place, and no newer covenant has replaced an older covenant. Kathy and Gary discuss how almost every covenant discussed in our Bibles was made between God and Israel, even the "new" covenant. When God makes a covenant with anyone, including Himself, it is a big deal. In fact, you might say, He structures the entire world and all of His purposes around His covenants. Therefore, it is important that we as His children understand His covenants and we understand our relationship to them and the role we play in their fulfillment.
