Elvis Presley was scheduled to perform three shows at the Missouri Theater in St. Louis, Missouri, but missed them all after reportedly searching for his lost wallet. His late arrival meant he wasn’t allowed to take the stage, and he was fined one hundred and twenty-five dollars—a rare instance where the King didn’t get to perform for his fans.
