It is one of the more over looked or disregarded of report sections and yet one of the most important to examiners. This section details and specifies what the solution to the problem is. It is not about throwing out every number that was ever calculated during the design development. It is not about showing off your creative writing skills in how you imagine the system will be manufactured or how much it will cost when the furthest you got in the design development was choosing the type of engine you would use. It is also not about throwing up every CAD rendered view of every component that you happen to develop. The design specification is about the solution. The previous sections validate, support all the information and will show off the hard work you have done - you don't need to try "impress" the examiner in the design spec section as well.
