On the 10th of March 1890 . The Morfa pit disaster occurred in the town of Port Talbot killing 87 miners . This horrible occurrence was believed to have been foretold by sightings of a ghostly hound in the streets and alleys of Taibach in the nights leading up to the disaster. This is the tale of the Red Dog of Morfa.
