MAPLESVILLE — Leroy became the first Class 1A team to score against Maplesville this season but the No. 3-ranked Bears fell to the No. 2 Red Devils 59-18 in the semifinals on Nov. 28. Ja’Kavien Collins had 127 yards on 14 carries, including a 6-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, and Leroy (13-1) suffered two safeties in the first quarter to give Maplesville an early 4-0 lead.
