Hikeem Lamont Edmond was sentenced to life in prison on Oct. 1 after being convicted on two counts of capital murder by a Clarke County jury. Circuit Judge C. Robert Montgomery sentenced Edmond for his role in the shooting death of Thearthor Dixon in Jackson in January 2021. Montgomery imposed the life sentence without parole on each count and ordered them to run concurrently.
