I once had a brief thought about calling my column, “Pastor Pat’s Ponderings.” The word “Pondering” means to think about something carefully before reaching a conclusion or making a decision. Pondering is critical in my writing and preaching so long as my ponderings are influenced by the Holy Spirit.
