Episode Synopsis
This interview was recorded on Discover Crosspoint with the host Pastor Scott Cappleman.
This week, we interview Tammy Allen who is walking through a Job-like experience after losing her dad and finding out she has cancer over the last two months. In the interview Tammy shares about growing up in California, discovering the need for a relationships with Jesus during college, her family’s journey that led them to Starkville, and how her faith in God has sustained her through these challenging times.
Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who stated in Daniel 3:16-18, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up,” Tammy’s response is, "He is able to heal. But if He doesn't, I will still follow Him and worship Him."
We hope you will be encouraged by Tammy’s testimony of faith in Jesus in spite of her struggles. Additionally, we would encourage you to pray for Tammy, Peter (husband), Amanda (daughter), and Cassie (daughter) as they continue to trust God through this difficult season of life.
