Today, we meet with jeweler Victor Hugo Sanchez, better known as VHS, at his booth in the Jewelry District in Downtown LA. His company Victor and Co. will soon be releasing a pendant called the "L.A. Jesus Piece" that combines histories of hip hop, Los Angeles, and Puebla, Mexico.
We spoke with Victor about the L.A. Jesus Piece, and what inspired him to create it, what makes a Jewelry Piece specific to Los Angeles, and his transition from political organizer to jeweler.
