Point: Jesus never promised trouble free life but He did promise that no matter what He’ll always be with us in it.

Interpretation: Asks - What does the passage mean?
Application: Asks - How should this passage change me?

Questions:

Comprehension: In your own words, summarize what is happening in this story. How would you describe this to someone who has never read it?

Interpretation: Why do you think Jesus asked them, “Where is your faith”? How did the disciples lack faith in this situation? Explain.

Application: Have you ever experienced a situation where you lacked faith? How did you respond? How did it turn out in the end?

Comprehension: Not every “life-storm” we face will turn out ok. What are some of God’s promises we can rest in, even when storms don’t let up?

Interpretation: What does this story teach us about the character of Jesus?

Application: After reading this passage, what are some ways your character needs to conform to the character of Jesus? Be honest and specific.

Application: How can this group be an encouragement to you this week as you work on conforming into the image of Jesus?
