There are a lot of "good, devout, mature Christians" out there who can quote hundreds of verses, have memorized all the books of the Bible, hold an impressive catalog of Christian novels, and maybe even attend church regularly who are also living as dead-men-walking.  They have all the knowledge and they have the desire, but their faith isn't being put into action.  They're waiting for something to get them to move.  Maybe that something is an open door.  Maybe that something is "the right time".  Maybe that something is for a moment when their own pride is reduced enough that they can take a leap of faith.  God calls us to act, and sometimes to act somewhat recklessly.  If we want to live lives that look more and more like those of the great church leaders of the first century and the apostles of Christ, we must be willing to be Christians who "do" rather than simply Christians who "say".
