I Bonds interest rate 2023 update. The interest rate for I Bonds purchased between May 2023 and October 31, 2023 is 4.3%. This is made up of a variable interest rate of 3.8%,and a fixed rate of 0.9%. This I Bond fixed rate of 0.9% is the highest fixed rate for I Bonds in 15 years.
