He now begins to build his case against the basically descent, moral, cultured, refined, educated, ethical and in some cases, the religious of society.This group of moralizers consider the sins of the previously mentioned group to be far worse than their own. However, these moralizers have chosen the wrong standard by which to measure themselves. God will judge men by the standard that He sets. That standard is found in Jesus Christ and His Word.These moralizers are hypocrites. They are indignant at the grotesque sins of others yet at the same time are indulgent of their own sins. The hypocrite; the self-righteous have an intrinsic blindness to the filth, the cesspool of iniquity contained within their own hearts.
