Listen "The Lost Sons, Part 3"
Episode Synopsis
In Jesus' longest parable, the Prodigal Son, He begins by showing that sometimes a person's sin must take them to rock-bottom before their pride is crushed and repentance begins. However, it is at that low spot that the joy-driven, unbridled grace of God not only forgives, but then blesses the penitent sinner beyond comprehension. All they must do is simply come to Him. On the other hand, self-righteousness blinds a person from seeing their need to come. While they're sin has separated them from God, they're believing themselves to be close. The second half of this parable shows how deceptive and damning it really is.
