In Part 1, the 1986 Bathurst 1000 polesitter talks about his stunning Hardies Heroes lap, tells stories from growing up around motorsport in Queensland in the 1960s as the son of racer Glyn Scott, racing motorbikes as a teen with good mate Gregg Hansford, and the impact of the loss of his dad in a racing crash that happened right in front of him and how it caused him to walk away from the sport for several years. He also chats about trying to climb the ladder to F1 in England, and returning home without a plan to keep racing, only to land seats with the Holden Dealer Team and Nissan Motorsport.
