Listen "What felt like my lowest point - what I did to overcome it."
Episode Synopsis
So this episode almost didnt happen.
Before chatting to Corey last we he and I had a converstaion about the gambit of emotions I felt when I first entered fatherhood. For me there was a lot of times where I felt like I was in quick sand the more I struggled the more I sunk that lead me down a path where I felt depressed, anxious and overwhelemed by everything with no where to turn.
Corey asked me after the chat if I was going to talk about it on the podcast, and even though I told him yes at that point I wasnt planning on it. After going away and thinking about it I decided to do it this week.
This one was hard for me because despite overcoming it I do feel a little ashamed that I felt the way I did, not that I should but I do.
I didnt do this podcast for pity or praise. Really it was to put my experience out there and to talk about what the turning point was for me and how I overcame it. It wasnt a new fitness regime or a new diet. It was talking to someone.
If your struggling reach out, talk to friends or seek professional help.
Hopefully me sharing this sparks someone to take some action and seek help if needed.
For every action there is and oppposite reaction, for all inaction there is also a reaction.
