Listen "NJ Councilman feels entitled after a traffic stop"
Episode Synopsis
On January 4, 2025, Paulsboro Councilman Theodore D. Holloway II was pulled over by local police for allegedly running a stop sign near Penn Line Road and West Adams Street. Body camera footage from the incident shows Holloway becoming irate, asserting his position by stating, "I'm the one that hired you! You actually pulled over an elected official... You're pulling over your boss. I am literally your boss." He also threatened to contact Police Chief Gary Kille about the stop. Despite Holloway's protests, the officer issued him a citation for an expired vehicle registration but did not charge him for the stop sign violation. The incident has led to public criticism, with New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association President Peter Andreyev calling for Holloway's resignation, emphasizing that public officials should not misuse their positions to intimidate law enforcement officers.
