I have a six year old niece. She is the light of my life. I often tell her that she is my heart, and that if she behaves badly my heart jumps in it’s cavity and hurts. She listens intently to that, says sorry to me and then goes on to be even naughtier than before. Secretly? I love it. She is also one of the most sensitive, empathetic human beings I know and love. The picture you see as the thumbnail in this episode? That painting, which I recently got framed, kept me going. Kept me hopeful. Alive. And here’s its story!
