Listen "Wednesday, August 16th—Live at Gasoline Alley Classics"
Episode Synopsis
HAPPY HUMP DAY! We're here at Gasoline Alley Classics, come find out why and let's talk about what's happening in Sapulpa!
We're here at Gasoline Alley Classics, where we're preparing to shoot some great videos for this year's Tulsa Area United Way Campaign. Sapulpa has six different organizations that benefit from the TUAW campaigns, and as many of you know, every contribution you make in Sapulpa, whether through your employer or independently, goes directly to one of those organizations. We're working on some new ways to help get their message out, and we can't wait to share it with you.
In other news, summer is coming to an official end! Tomorrow is the first day of school! Sapulpa students head back to class in the morning, and we're kicking off football season already when we play Sand Springs next week.
Let's get right into the American Heritage Bank Community Calendar!
Akdar Car & Bike Show at the TeePee Drive-In On Saturday from 10am to sunset. There will be a silent auction, vendors and lots of fun for families. Come out and see some amazing cars. Free for spectators to walk in and view the cars. Only registered show vehicles allowed for drive-in movie.
D-Luxe Properties is ending summer with a splash tonight at the food truck park on South Main. They'll have their amazing food truck line up as well as water activities by Okie Kidz Inflatables! The Sapulpa Fire Department will be there, get a picture on the firetruck or with the firefighters! They will also be using the fire hose for some water fun! Starts at 5:30pm. 923 S. Main Street.
Join us for a special night of Ghost Hunting at the Sapulpa Historical Society with Oklahoma Paranormal Association! This will be a special fundraiser for the museum and is happening this Saturday August 19th 7 to 11pm. Space will be limited. Must be 18 or older to attend. $50 for a ticket. Check the museum Facebook Page for how to buy a ticket.
Join the Sapulpa Chamber for Business Over Breakfast tomorrow, August 17th at 7:30am at First Baptist Church! The guest speaker at this free breakast is Kristi Spaethe, president & founder of the People’s Perspective. Kristi will touch base on several topics for HR that are relevant and beneficial to your business. These are always a fun networking event to meet other business professionals in our community. First Baptist Church is hosting and serving breakfast, and you'll need to register with the Chamber to attend.
Tickets are SELLING OUT for the new show at Sapulpa Community Theatre called "CAT-astrophe on Route 66." This hilarious show still has a few seats left for the first weekend, but not many! Tickets are $5 for students PreK-18 and $12 for adults, and the show will run from August 18th - 20th, and 24th - 27th, which includes a new extended date! Get your tickets now at sapulpatheatre.org
The Sapulpa Main Street Route 66 Farmers Market happens every Saturday in the Rumble Fish Alley, just north of Dewey between Water and Park Streets. Right now is a great time to find all the best locally-grown fruits and vegetables, as well as staples like homemade bread and homemade lotions and soaps. The market runs from May through October and is a great way to support our local producers.
You might have noticed we're going through a little bit of a rebranding right now, as we've started a free weekly email newsletter called the Timeloop, and we officially started calling the show the Timeloop Live. You can support us by signing up for that weekly email—it's completely free—and be sure to share those with your friends, it helps us with getting the word about what's going on in the town we love.
