Philip is joined by Jodi, Hannah, and newcomer Heather Coy to discuss the new live-action spinoff of an animated Disney film, 'Cruella.' The film explores an alternative take on the classic villain Cruella de Vil from the 1961 classic, 'One Hundred and One Dalmations.' Like 'Maleficent' before it, 'Cruella' revels in the undeniable fascination that this eponymous character instills in viewers, having been prominently featured in several films and shows since the 1961 original and of course immortalized in the hit song bearing her name. This origin story is set in 1970s London and follows "Estella" (Emma Stone) as she goes from petty street thief to major player in the fashion world, rivaling her unwitting boss (Emma Thompson), against whom she holds a secret vendetta. What started as a boon to the struggling Estella's career turns into a perilous game of chess between the iconoclastic duo.
