Listen "EP64 - Arise from the Ashes, Sis"
Episode Synopsis
This message is for black women and those who love us. Rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide are on the rise for Black women. We struggle with both the internal and external pressures of what it means to be us. Antoinette Candia-Bailey was the vice president of student affairs at Lincoln University of Missouri, an HBCU in Jefferson City, and recently committed suicide after struggling with her mental health and allegedly being bullied at work. Black women have become the walking dead because of the heavy internal load that we carry. Our hearts are often broken at home and at work. This episode will help you to : 1. Affirm that God has not called you to be the sacrificial lamb. 2. Recognize that your humanity is not weak, it's wise. 3. Give Yourself the gift of grace. 4. Make Your Pain Pay You Back
