Episode Synopsis

Hello solvers!
I’m your host, Iliriana Kacaniku, and in this episode I am talking to Daniela Matielo, the Executive Director of the Changemakers Program at Ashoka, the global leader and pioneer of social entrepreneurship.
During the conversation I learned a lot about the transformative power that open innovation methods have. Especially in the social innovation space. Regardless of the industry, I think we need to adopt this perspective more frequently, and explore how might our next open innovation challenge activate ecosystems and communities that will thrive beyond the life of a single competition—All while cultivating the belief that we can and should solve problems in order to create a world where we have more solutions than problems. And become changemakers ourselves.
As we embark on the journey, let’s ensure that:

We balance the needs of all the stakeholders
Understand what incentive structure needs to be in place
Have clarity of what success should look like, and
We share our best practices with other practitioners in the space so we create a community that sparks positive reinforcement in the practice as well.
