In honour of the (UK) release of the Upside which for some reason didn't release on these shores until this year despite being two years old (!!!), the Silver Screen Dudes are counting down the TP 10 Remakes of Foreign films. As you may already know, the Upside is in fact a remake of French film called les Intouchables. Big disclaimer for this list: at no point are we suggesting that the movies that make our list are in any way better than their foreign counterparts, but what we are saying is that these ones are actually good - because let;s face it, when Hollywood tries to remake foreign cinema, most of the time the results are far from watchable!Side note also, we hope that you will be surprised and "edutained" by some of our entries. There are some golden classics in here and we bet many of you may not be aware that they are in fact remakes!!So sit back, relax and be prepared for edutainment as we blow the lid off some of the best remakes of Foreign films (that you hopefully didn't even know were remakes!!)
