Life doesn't always go as planned, as 2020 has shown us well. What we expected for this year has, almost surely, not gone as we'd wished.  In Acts 7:54-8:8, the early church faced a similar crisis; when persecution came and they fled Jerusalem, they vision they had for their future fell apart. However, God still accomplished His plans through their crisis, as He still does today, no matter what life throws at us. NEBC Professor Dr. Jared August elaborates how this story applies to us today, how God's plans for our lives will never be foiled by the unexpected.
