It is a harsh truth that the majority of young men and women in Malta would actually rather live outside of Malta; 77% of millennials, and 72% of Gen-Z, wanting to live abroad, according to an EY Generate Youth Survey published in 2022. The survey also found that 93% of young people believe the state of Malta’s environment is getting worse.
