Listen "Ep 10 - Paul Starr"
Episode Synopsis
Paul Starr is the pilot episode for a 1960s sci-fi puppet series that never made it to television. It was filmed in colour and starred Ed Bishop as the voice of heroic space agent, Paul Starr. But here's the twist - it wasn't produced by Gerry Anderson. This show was the brainchild of former Anderson associates Roberta Leigh and Arthur Provis, who had their own take on how to make futuristic puppet televsion series. So, is Paul Starr any good? Why did it never become a full series? And how similar is it to hit Supermarionation shows like Fireball XL5, Stingray, and Thunderbirds? It's time for Jack and Ben to dive in!Subscribe: https://youtube.com/JackKnoll Visit: https://securityhazard.net/Patreon: https://patreon.com/securityhazardFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/unofficialgerryandersonblogBluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/jackknoll.bsky.social and https://bsky.app/profile/benwolfpage.bsky.socialX: https://x.com/securityhazard and https://x.com/cinemarionette
