Send us a textBiographyDr Paul Martin is a security practitioner with thirty years’ experience in the national security arena. During a career in UK government service from 1986 to 2013 he held a variety of positions, including heading the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) and leading national security preparations for the London 2012 Olympics. From 2013 to 2016, he was the Director of Security for the UK Parliament.He is a Distinguished Fellow of RUSI, Professor of Practice at Coventry University, Honorary Principal Research Fellow at Imperial College London, a member of the Police Science Council, and a member of the Boards of the Charity Commission and the National Leadership Centre. He is an adviser to various public and private sector bodies, with a particular interest in insider risk.Paul was educated at the University of Cambridge and Stanford University. He lectured and researched in behavioural science at Cambridge and was a Fellow of Wolfson College before leaving academia to join government service. He is the author or co-author of several books including: Measuring Behaviour; The Sickening Mind; Design for a Life; Counting Sheep; Play, Playfulness, Creativity and Innovation; Extreme; and The Rules of Security.Security Circle ⭕️ is an IFPOD production for IFPO the International Foundation of Protection Officers
