We now have a website. We discussed some thoughts on our first blogpost on Effective Altruism. Siew recommended an excellent resource on poverty at the site Poverty Unlocked. Siew and I committed to give some money to the Give Well Maximum Impact Fund. We discuss the need to do this work on a flywheel, a concept Jim Collins talks about. Siew recommended a book on homelessness that was turned into a movie, Same Kind of Different Me. And of course we talked a lot about Effective Altruism.
