The Apostle Saint John in his circular letter writes of the fellowship enjoyed by the believer in Christ with God the Father.As precious as this Christian intimate relationship is, rupture occurs when sin is committed in the walk of the followers of Jesus.John presents three conditions necessary to keep and restore fellowship with God.The Acknowledgement of Sin, the Acquittal of Guilt, and the Applying of Righteousness.The action of confessing rests on the promises of cleansing and clothing in righteousness that Jesus the Advocate has made.As we read this passage on the first letter of John, let us think through these things together and take action based upon the what the written Word of God tells us,May God bless us!
