The inspiration behind the series is stems from my life. The series will consist of 7 black and white drawings done on toned tan paper, 7 black and white drawings done on newsprint paper, 7 oil paintings done in color, and 7 photographs. They’ll all be based off of the 7 photographs. Each set-up will symbolize a certain point in my life, from my freshman year in high school up to now and is supposed to evoke some type of emotion, whether it was the intended emotion or something completely different. My goal here is to show that color, or the lack thereof, doesn’t affect the emotion that is felt.
